My experience with Diadem Shorthaired Pointers and breeder Sandy has been exceptional. Returning for our second German Shorthaired Pointer reaffirmed our satisfaction with her breeding program. From the outset, Sandy prioritized professionalism, integrity, and the well-being of her dogs. Our dogs excel in confirmation, hunting, dog sports, and most importantly as cherished family members, reflecting Sandy's expertise in breeding GSPs. We wholeheartedly recommend Diadem Shorthaired Pointers to anyone seeking top-quality GSPs and a breeder committed to ethical practices.

After washing our first show prospect dog, we contacted Sandy at Diadem to see if she’d trust us with one of her pups to get us started with what hopefully will become a breeding program of our own. I cannot possibly say enough good things about the entire experience, not to mention our amazing little boy, Rip (diadems master of disaster) who is well on his way to earning his CH title. Not only was Sandy incredibly receptive to my endless questions, she also allowed us to come meet puppies a few weeks before helping us choose which one would be ours. Rip is an AMAZING representation of the breed- he’s super chill in the house, shows well, is an incredibly talented hunter, and he is so brave and willing to try anything we ask of him. we have met a large handful of other Diadem dogs and all have been very nice, to where we will always recommend diadem to people looking for a great companion, field, or show dog. If you’re in the market for a GSP, you cannot go wrong with a diadem pup!

Sandy is a wonderful and very experienced breeder. She breeds beautiful GSPs but also dogs that have great temperaments. She is also a very supportive breeder who is there for her puppy buyers with sound advice and help. I bought a GSP from Sandy nearly 10 years ago and I could not be happier with him.

I’ve known Sandy for over 20 years. My husband and I purchased our first puppy from her; a Doberman named Devo. We were completely new to the overall puppy process; from purchasing to raising. Sandy was so knowledgeable and welcomed any questions. She invited us to her home to see the puppies, educated us on the breed, let us see the mother, and sent us home with a puppy packet that had everything from AKC registration papers, to how to raise a puppy. We knew that if we had any questions, Sandy was just a phone call away. We stayed connected via email and I sent her a Christmas card each year so she could see how Devo was maturing, and how he was becoming the guardian of his two new human siblings. When the day came when we had to put Devo down, at the age of 10, she was there to provide comfort. As a few months went by, there was such emptiness in our home. We missed Devo terribly, and although we knew we couldn’t necessarily replace him, it was time to get another dog. The first person I reached out to was Sandy. She explained she didn’t breed Doberman’s anymore, but that she had switched to German Shorthaired Pointers. We knew nothing about Pointers, but the fact that Sandy had switched was all we needed. We had so much faith in Sandy as a breeder. We knew that she would be honest about the breed and its fit for our active family. Murphy is now almost 14 years old. Sandy and I still keep in touch. We’ve exchanged pictures of Murphy, and his mom, Benelli who is 15 ½ and chat on occassion. You may wonder why I have told this story in a review. The answer is that Sandy is a such wonderful person; whether you are looking for a competition dog, or just a family pet. She breeds for longevity, health and has an overall passion for the breed. Sandy is a person of commitment and trust. She has a vested interest in her puppies and when you purchase a puppy from her, she stays with you through the years.

Sandy has been a very successful breeder of GSP’s. Her dogs have exceptional temperaments, which is the most important trait I look for.

"I always compliment Sandy on the excellence of her breeding program when I make a house call to examine her next litter. Sandy asked me if I would write a testimonial for her website. October 27 was no different than all my other visits. Her facility is so clean you would not even know there was a single dog in the house. Her German Shorthaired Pointer pups are always healthy and clean and are fine examples of the breed standard. Sandy is very particular about the product she is producing and we are always impressed by not only the quality of the pups but also by the socialization of her dogs. I could not recommend one of Sandy’s dogs highly enough for someone looking for a quality German Shorthaired Pointer."John P Broshkevitch, VMDChief of StaffMountain Shadow Veterinary Hospital
