Cuddle Sanctuary

While these are great activities and usually go very well, they do not live up to their promise to deal with issues using restorative justice. At the end of the day this organization is run like a cult that will make an example of people just to control other people's expressions of intimacy. It puts fear into the regular members to walk on eggshells under the threat of being banned for anything resembling being "too intimate" regardless of clear consent being given. I respect a time and place for everything and I respect that they want to limit intimacy for their events, but an unwillingness to talk things out when they say they would and their decision to profile me as someone with a "pattern" for trying to understand exactly where the line was for each practitioner, is unacceptable. It establishes dishonesty and manipulation as the core of what this organization is about. At the end of the day they are a relief to those who have a genuine need for human contact and in exchange for that permission to be open with others regarding that need, they insist on being psychologically sadistic. I suffer from depression and the best treatment has always been physical human contact. This ostracization of me has left me struggling with more self-destructive thoughts, feeling alone and helpless. Despite my willingness to own and apologize for my mistakes, they do not care.

I have been attending Cuddle Sanctuary zoom virtual events since around April 2020 and it has opened up a whole new community of amazing friendships and experiences. I have learnt so much about myself and I feel so supported on my journey of self-discovery. Cuddle sanctuary zoom events led by the wonderful Jean has been a consistent and amazing inspiration to me both professionally and personally. Thank you Jean for all you do for the world, you have no idea of the ripple effect you are creating. My community in Australia is benefiting from me attending your events as I feel I am living more in my potential and I am much more aligned with my soul now than ever before in my life. I have created a community through hosting weekly global online zoom events, which I believe has come about from learning facilitation skills from Jean and being inspired by Jean. I found cuddle sanctuary after losing my wife of 18 years. Was missing connection and touch. Coming to cuddle has really changed my life for the better! With the safe place to learn really important tools around touch, it has allowed me to give and receive touch in supper clear and fun ways! Being able to be super present and connected in touch with everyone around me is a great blessing! I have so much gratitude to Jean and Fei, and all those courageous souls that make there way to Cuddle Sanctuary will find a real gift!

I always learn about communication here, but more than anything else, I get to relax in a safe, respectful environment, with people who are supportive of me taking care of myself and expressing my boundaries. I always feel healed, connected and happy when I'm here. Also the facilitators are GREAT at their job, and I know I can count on them for any support I need. LOVE!

When I was living in L.A. I made this part of my self-care routine, it was very therapeutic and felt safe for me. It helped me feel more comfortable with setting boundaries around touch and voicing my needs.
