Crabapple Downs Standard Poodles

We just got our second poodle from here. He is still very young g but I can tell he is going to be a wonderful dog, just like our first one who lived for 16 happy years. Do not be put off by the run down appearance of the place. Arlene’s daughter Emily, has taken over and has big plans for renovation. She and her mother breed amazing dogs. We got our guy along with a wealth of supplies and information about how to raise and care for these lovely creatures. I have full confidence that Emily will continue to do her mother’s work in providing us with these amazing animals

I am a little surprised by the negative comments (few). Not denying their rating but a far different experience for me. We adopted a 5 yr old retired male breeder. He is stunning looking. Of course being in a kennel for five years and moving in to home there are adjustments-stairs, walking on leash, cars passing by when on a walk , and men.He did not eat , poop or pee for 3 days. It took 3 months to adjust, He has personality quirks , but he good with other dogs and is well behaved. He is totally attached to me. He is my shadow but when I leave ,he is fine. Arlene interviewed us for an hour before approving us. I did not matter ,I was a veterinarian. I would not call her a puppy mill and thought the kennel was aged but sufficient. I would recommend her if someone asked me about a poodle breeder.

We've gotten four standard poodles from Crabapple, great dogs, nice people. Don't be put off by the look of the place

Natalie is caring and excellent at what she does. My dachshund comes home smelling wonderful, looking wonderful. She is affordable, even cuts Abbys nails and puts a scarf around her neck; I'm glad I found her.

We have had three Crabapple Downs Standard Poodles. They are wonderful dogs, and Arlene is very knowledgeable and helpful in getting a new dog owner started. It's clear to me she loves her dogs and does everything in her power for them to have a successful life with their new owners.
