I am a foster "mom" with Colorado Greyhound Adoption and cannot say enough good things about this organization. Every single person involved truly cares about the well being of these doggos. Greyhounds are one of the most special breeds in all the lands and if you get to bring one into your family you will be over the moon! Please consider supporting CGA and it's dogs by donating, fostering, volunteering, or adopting!

Almost 5 years ago, we adopted our sweet, beautiful grey with the help of CGA. During the initial visit to our home, the representative let us know what would be involved in the adoption process, the things we needed to do to keep our new companion happy and safe, and carefully answered all our questions. We already had a cat, so in less time than we expected, we were matched with a grey that had been vetted as cat-safe, and went to meet her. It was love at first sight for everyone involved! She had been spayed, wormed, and had her first dental cleaning in the initial vet visit that CGA takes care of, and her kind foster family had already started the process of introducing her to life as a companion, familiarizing her with stairs, setting boundaries, and feeling out her individual personality. She was the sweetest, gentlest, most well-mannered dog I have ever had the privilege to know, and she reigned over our little household like the benevolent princess that she was, thoroughly enjoying her well-earned retirement. Sadly we lost her last week due to a brain tumor, and I wish we had had more time with her, but I will forever be grateful to CGA for the work they do and for introducing us to our beloved girl.

I'm forever grateful to this organization for the expense and care they put in to helping our beautiful Aurora be at her healthiest when we adopted her 5 years ago. The vet bill was significant, with dental, spaying, etc, and our adoption fee did not even come close to reimbursement. Also, the adoption process was very organized and well run. Everyone we encountered along the way was super friendly and helpful.

Incredible group! We have both fostered and adopted from CGA. They go above and beyond to care for dogs. Very few groups will take in know medical issue dogs but they don’t bay an eye. They do a fantastic job of matching dogs and caring for them.

This rescue is shady. Firstly, UCD design students were brought on to help redesign their logo and website. After they started working for this rescue, the owner told them they were closing down and then ghosted the designers. They did not shut down, they did however steal the redesign UCD student made for them, without bothering to credit the designer. Secondly, I'm in the veterinary field and have worked with other dog rescues. I've heard a lot of people complain about this particular rescue taking dogs back from adopters with very little notice or reason. It's not just one or two bad reviews on Google. Doesn't sit well with me since I've worked with dog rescues in the past. If you're adopting from Colorado Greyhound Adoption, be wary. It's so unfortunate since greyhounds are such incredible dogs, but this rescue has no respect for its adopters or the people looking to help them. Which makes me wonder how much respect they have for their dogs.
