Vom Black Bear Rottweiler

I purchased a puppy from Lynn at Vom Black Bear Rottweilers in 2019. Our first dog became an incredible part of our family and, sadly, passed away at only 7 years old due to kidney failure that was ultimately misdiagnosed by our veterinarian. Her passing was devastating, but it was not related to the breeder. Because we had a positive experience with our first dog, we decided to return for another puppy. Unfortunately, this second experience has been disappointing. Initially, communication was prompt, and my questions were answered quickly. However, once the puppies were born, communication became very limited. Updates and photos were infrequent, and I often found myself reaching out first just to get information. A Zoom call was eventually held, but it did not provide the opportunity buyers were led to expect. The puppies were only briefly shown, making it difficult to really see them or observe their personalities. Much of the call was spent discussing the breeder's personal life rather than providing updates about the litter, answering buyers' questions, or allowing families to get to know the puppies they were preparing to bring home. I understand that life happens and unexpected situations can arise when running a breeding program. However, when customers are making a significant financial investment in a puppy, clear communication, regular updates, and following through on expectations are important. Throughout the process, I felt that communication lacked consistency and transparency. When I expressed my concerns, I felt they were not received professionally. Instead of addressing them constructively, Lynn responded in a passive-aggressive and condescending manner that made me feel like my concerns were being dismissed rather than acknowledged. After bringing our puppy home, it also became apparent that he had received very little socialization. From the start, he was extremely skittish and fearful of everyday noises, unfamiliar people, and new environments. While every puppy has a different temperament, early socialization is an important part of a puppy's development, and I was surprised by how timid he was upon arriving home. We love our puppy, he is an amazing boy, so smart, handsome and learning so well! We are also committed to giving him the training, confidence, and socialization he needs to thrive. However, I believe prospective buyers deserve to know what my experience was like. If communication, customer service, and early puppy socialization are important to you, it's worth asking detailed questions and setting clear expectations before placing a deposit. KC

Lynn Takes pride in her dogs, she has well balanced, well mannered, great temperament, healthy, beautiful Rottweilers. What a true Rottweiler should be. Lynn/ was there through the whole process. She shared pictures of the pups as they grew. She also did Google meet with all of us so we can see the pups and to answer any questions. Even after I brought my beautiful, baby boy home, she was still there to answer questions. I would definitely recommend Vom Black Bear Rottweilers.
