Cavaliers of Healdsburg

We couldn’t be happier with our experience adopting two beautiful Cavaliers, Tri-Color Emma (14wks) and Blenheim Oliver (9wks) from Shelley at Cavaliers of Healdsburg. Shelley generously posted frequent updates on Instagram from whelping to 8wks showing how they were progressing growing and socializing. We got to know the different personalities of each pup in both litters. We’ve been impressed with how lovingly Shelley cares for the Moms and puppies and the stud dog Alfie. Shelley’s dogs have a beautiful calm temperament and are playful and flirty and energetic. Shelley provides lots of useful information to help your new puppy adjust to family life. Emma and Oliver haven’t stopped playing together since we brought Oliver home last weekend. We never get tired of watching them play, it’s better than TV! Our veterinarian says Emma and Oliver are really healthy Cavaliers, the best news of all.

Shelley and her cavaliers are amazing! We had a wonderful experience from start to finish bringing our beautiful puppy home. Shelley is great at communicating and was very clear about the process and the expected timeline. She is a responsible breeder and so there was a wait for our turn but this shows that she is doing things the right way. She is incredibly helpful in sending emails with information to prepare for a puppy. And, the best part of course, is that we couldn’t have asked for a happier, healthier or better mannered puppy. Our puppy is 6 months old now and has exceeded all expectations. We love her and I’m sure at some point in the future we will be returning to Shelley for a friend for our current girl!

Shelley is such a professional and highly sought after because of it. I can say that my sweet puppy was well worth the wait. I had many questions about the pups' health, nature, and parental lineage and she answered them all for me without hesitation. I was able to visit whenever I asked, to meet the parents of my pup and the whole gang! I have had my puppy now for 7 months and he is healthy, happy, and oh so sweet. If I didn't already have 3 other dogs I'd have gotten another Cavalier already. But I will be back! I think this breed is the one for me and I've found a breeder who I trust for any future Cavaliers I get.

Shelley Anderson with Cavaliers of Healdsburg is the utmost in professionalism, as well as kindness towards animals and people. She is someone who genuinely cares about the breed and ensuring its long-term health. Prior to obtaining my first Cav, I did my own extensive research. Afterwards, I called a number of breeders with a list of questions. Of all the breeders I contacted, Shelley was the only one who was absolutely transparent, had zero hesitation in answering all of my questions, and was fully open to me doing a home visit to check out where she had the puppies and adult dogs. It is abundantly clear that the dogs and puppies are well-loved, and receive the best care possible. She also is available for questions at any time (I have contacted her years after buying my first Cav from her and she’s always happy to respond) and provides great starter information when you get your puppy. I fully trust Shelley and Cavaliers of Healdsburg … I must since I’m getting my third Cav from her next month AND my parents have the sibling to one of my current Cavs! Don’t mistakenly fall for an imposter; Shellie and Cavaliers of Healdsburg are the best all around!

Working with Shelley as a breeder has been an amazing experience. I appreciated her kind approach to all of our questions. The thoroughness of her preparing us to transition our puppy home really made all the difference in the smooth experience we had. The puppies are raised in such a loving and attentive home environment, they are calm, confident, healthy and mostly house trained when you receive them. We are so grateful for our sweet and spunky girl, I can't imagine choosing anyone else for the next furry addition to our family.
