Cavachons From The Monarchy

We are absolutely thrilled to have gotten our Poppy from Meryl at the Monarchy! We got our pup about 2 years ago and from the start, we appreciated how communicative and transparent Meryl was with the whole process. Choosing a responsible and caring breeder was extremely important to us, and we appreciated that Meryl allowed us to visit Poppy several weeks before taking her home and continued to stay in communication with us the whole time. We could also tell Meryl really worked on training our pup before we got her. At just 10 weeks, Poppy was familiar with crate training, knew basic commands like “sit” and “down”, and was well socialized. In addition, what we love the most is this wasn’t a one time transaction, but a relationship for life. We regularly ask Meryl to dogsit for us when we’re away and there’s no one we would trust more. Meryl is a former vet tech so we always know Poppy is in good hands and she can handle any situation that may come up. When we’re ready for pup #2, we know who we will be reaching out to!

We got Mochi from the Monarchy three years ago and she is the perfect dog. She is so sweet and loves meeting new people, especially children. She is equally happy going on a long walk and relaxing with her people on the couch. She is very snuggly and playful. She is a healthy dog and non shedding with very soft fur. So many people when meeting her comment that she should be a therapy dog.

Terry and Melanie are amazing. What they do for their puppies before you get them completely changes the life these puppies will have. I have had many dogs over my life, and I know how important those first weeks are. Terry and Melanie have created an incredible program for their puppies that gave us the most wonderful, sweetest, kindest, most fantastic puppy ever. After going through their two week training program before we brought him, Odin arrived housebroken, sleeping through the night, walking great on the leash, already knowing sit. He is spunky, and a great lap dog. He loves to fetch, and has bonded so well with our big dogs. He is the perfect balance of all the traits we wanted in a dog, plus he's just so completely cute! We are so grateful for this little guy in our life, and for Melanie and Terry giving him the puppyhood that enables him to shine.

We are extremely happy to have found the Monarchy. Our cavachon puppy is now a little over 3 months old and a well adjusted, happy dog. We read many positive things about the breed so fully hoped for a delightful puppy, while finding Melanie and Terry is the icing on the cake. We firmly believe in Melanie and Terry’s early neurological exercises and socialization of the puppies, because when we collected our puppy at 8 weeks she was already confident and happy. Their focus on the wellbeing of their puppies is outstanding, they provide lots of excellent advice to prepare for go-home day and ensure the new owners are fully prepared for the early weeks of building trust and communication, and we called them a couple times after pickup for support in ensuring the settling in process went well, which it did! Our puppy was fully potty trained in roughly 2 weeks and she’s a fast learner of commands and routines.

Her passion for her dogs is evident in every interaction. Our precious Cavapoochon puppy, Ivy (8 months old), is the most wonderful addition to our family. This set her up for success and made the transition much smoother. Even after we brought Ivy home, Meryl has continued to be a wonderful resource. She has always been available to answer questions and offer advice. We are so grateful for her ongoing support.
