Carsten's Chihuahuas

Mary has been nothing but kind and generous with her time answering my questions. I had two Chihuahuas from the rescue where I volunteered. Both were from litters of reputable breeders that were leaving the business for health reasons. When I had to put 10-year old Lucy Lucille down (in all likely a brain tumor) it left a big hole for me and 5-year old Poppy Jane was very depressed. She only left my bed to take care of her outside business. I started looking for another Chi. I love their personality, they travel well and loved camping and making new friends. I found many scam 'Breeders' that only wanted money. Then I found found 'breeders' that were not forthcoming. Mary was nine of these things. I was gifted a 3-month shi tzu/poodle. So while I could not adopt from her now, I'm certainly keeping all her contact info, just in case. Thanks again for being so very open and helpful. (Caption: Oh no! We're on the wrong side of the door!)

I can’t express my gratitude to Mary for creating my absolutely perfect Chihuahua. He is perfect in temperament, intelligence and in looks. If you want to find a reputable caring breeder, you’ve found her! I flew and picked up my darling Ace and got to know the Carstens. The best people in the world and the best caring parents for their dogs. The dogs all live in the house and are given total love and raised the way you’d want your fur baby to be. I can’t say enough about my adoption experience and the little joyful happy pup that I now call my own.

Mary has a wonderful breeding program and she’s also a great breeder .my PoppyRose is 11 years old and is still going strong💕

Mary Carsten is the absolute best! No one else I would trust and definitely worth the drive to bring our puppy home! She always kept us updated with Live Photos and videos while we were waiting for him to be old enough to come home. She did a perfect job with all the paperwork, vaccines, and even provides a health guarantee. He’s happy and healthy thanks to Mary! I can’t wait to bring another puppy home!

There should be a blue checkmark after their name because they are the real deal. We got our sweet boy, Cosmo, from the real Carsten‘s Chihuahuas. Mary and her husband raise these puppies in a great environment, teaching them to socialize, and play. He is the sweetest boy and very smart. I was very cautious when looking for a puppy. There are so many scammers out there and unfortunately, Mary has fallen victim to a few people ripping off her kennel name and even going far enough to simulate her profile . My husband and I picked our puppy up personally from them and I assure you they are the real Carsten Chihuahuas. All of her dogs are very personable and ran to greet us. They provide you with a puppy start up kit, complete with everything you need to get started. There are also some nice personal touch surprises. You won’t be disappointed. I feel we were blessed to find them and to be able to get our little boy. We had lost our previous chi in October secondary to kidney failure. He was 16. We were heartbroken, I reached out to Mary because she had a dog that looked similar to the one we lost and I was hoping would be having puppies. I found her through AKC, then followed up with more searching and validation online. When I did make contact, Mary was very honest about a puppy not being able to replace the one that was lost but they would try to fill the void in our hearts to the best of their ability. She showed she cared about where the puppies went . We love our little boy and are lucky enough to have him and to have found them. I highly recommend The REAL Carsten Chihuahuas.
