We are so thankful to have Raul and Colby in our lives. They have been amazing and have always been very professional with my family and I!! We couldn’t imagine trying to work with anyone else!! They take our family dynamic into consideration when we purchased a fully trained German Shepherd. We have been buying dogs from them for over 20 years and have never EVER had any issues or been disappointed!!! Raul is truly a ‘dog whisperer’!! Thank you so much Raul and Colby!!

I hesitated writing this but maybe it helps others in the future. I had purchased a puppy from Canina Extreme in 2012 and she eventually passed away. Great dog although she came with dysplasia but Raul refunded my money which paid for one of the two surgeries she required. We decided to get another dog but this time instead of going through the puppy process, we purchased a 2 1/2 year old sweet dog and left her with Raul for 3 months for training. Here is my first warning. Be sure to clarify your expectations because my assumption that she would be “trained” was way off. She was trained to heel on walks. No recall and no recognition of her name. As we live in an urban area the lack of recall was a problem. I took her back after a few difficult months where she went to the bathroom in the house and was destructive to furniture and rugs and asked that he work on her recall and name recognition. Raul and Colby assured me that this was my problem and not theirs. I was doing things wrong even though I have had dogs my entire life. (68 years). I left her there for 3 more months and got her back with the suggestion that we use an e collar. Tried that. She starting biting and continued to be destructive. Raul said she wanted attention. Upon reflection all of my concerns relocating a dog from an extremely rural environment where she was outside mostly into an extremely urban environment came to fruition. She was nervous around other dogs, afraid of noises such as landscapers etc. I told him this wasn’t working when she barked at my grand kids and put her mouth on one of them I took her back. They have you sign a form essentially saying your are relinquishing ownership. So I am out $15000 as of now and still considering legal possibilities. My word of warning to people is just be very careful if you are buying an adult (or teenager) and make sure you ask a lot of questions. Be clear on your expectations with them because he is very busy, likes to talk but doesn’t always listen to your concerns. They are sales people as much as they are dog trainers. I take some responsibility for this experience but not the full extent that has me out my entire purchase price. She was so happy getting out of the truck when I took her back it made me happy to return her after a 4 hour drive. That’s where she belongs despite their assurances that this would work out. Generally I think they run a good operation - just be careful

I got a puppy from Canine Extreme. He’s now over a year old. The disposition, intelligence, natural work ethic, and athleticism of this dog is truly amazing. I’ve never had a dog that I loved so much. He’s such a great natural guard. At night he sleeps outside my daughters bedroom door and does the same when my grandchildren are over. When my neighbors 3 year old is playing outside, my dog lays at the fence and watches everything, guarding his little friend. When I put him out at night, he does the same thing every time. He runs a quick loop around the entire house, then takes a bathroom break when everything checks out. It’s instinctual and in his breeding. He naturally goes on high alert at night. During the day, I take him everywhere and never need to worry about him biting someone, or getting in a dog fight. That’s good breeding. If you want a highly intelligent dog with a great disposition and natural protective abilities, I can’t recommend Canine Extreme highly enough.

Raul Hernandez and his family and staff are great. He truly is a "Dog Whisperer". He has provided me with several great German Shepherd Dogs, as well as having trained other of my dogs. His GSD are magnificent! He is a master trainer, and has tajen many of his dogs to World Championships.
