What to ask a French Bulldog breeder
Ask for both parents' results for Cardiac OFA, Patellar Luxation, BOAS Assessment, Spine Evaluation, DM (Degenerative Myelopathy). Results should be checkable by OFA or registry number, not a verbal assurance.
Breeder licensing in California
California does not issue a state breeder license, but statutory duties attach if you 3 or more litters or 20 or more dogs (sold, transferred, or given away in the preceding 12 months) in a twelve-month period.
No state issues a breed-specific breeder license, and a state license never replaces a USDA license or local zoning.
