Blueprint K9 Dachshunds

We had a wonderful experience with Blueprint K9. From the very beginning, it was clear they care deeply about the health, temperament, and well-being of their dogs. Our chocolate and tan miniature Dachshund came home happy, healthy, and well-socialized. She was comfortable around people, confident in new environments, and had clearly been given a great start before joining our family. The communication throughout the process was excellent, and Amanda specifically was always willing to answer our questions and provide guidance. Raising a puppy is always a lot of work, but we’re grateful to have started with a puppy that had such a solid foundation. We would confidently recommend Blueprint K9 to anyone looking for a well-bred Dachshund and a breeder who truly cares about their puppies.

First, let me just start off by saying that we are thrilled beyond words with our two pups that we got from BlueprintK9. We got Sophie in the first part of 2024 followed by Keller in the first part of 2025. I know I’m biased, but these dogs are superstars. They are kind, friendly, energetic, fearless, and balanced. We stressed to Amanda that temperament was foremost in our minds over fur color or gender. She listened. Don’t get me wrong, I think our dogs are gorgeous, but it’s their character that really makes them special. This is in no small part thanks to The BlueprintK9 program. The rigor that Amanda exercises in choosing the dogs she will breed, how she cares for them, and how she teaches the pups from day 1 all speak to a loving vision of an excellent dachshund. We looked far and wide for where to choose our puppies; we could not have chosen better than BlueprintK9. Amanda cares deeply about where her puppies are placed. Other reviewers have mentioned that she is NOT a pet store. This is true! Make no mistake, Amanda chooses you as much as you choose her. If she doesn’t feel you’re the best place for one of her pups, you’re just not going to get one. My GF joked that applying for a BlueprintK9 puppy was like applying for grad school. LOL. An exaggeration, to be sure, but we had no doubts that we were being scanned by a DKG (DoxieKompatibilityGram) before any serious discussions about adopting a puppy could happen. This is, IMO, as it should be. We all know that adopting a puppy is a lifelong commitment. It’s also a commitment to Blueprint. They want to be kept in the loop about their dogs. They cheer our successes, give us suggestions for our challenges, and mourn our losses. They wave goodbye when you drive away with one of their dogs, but that isn’t the end of their caring or sense of responsibility. They are with us at every step. It may not be for everyone, but we love it. We could not be happier with our little beasts and can hardly imagine looking anywhere else for another one. 5 stars.

Amanda is a wonderful human who loves her dogs and cares about the breed so much. She spent a lot of time talking with me and getting to know our family and she matched us with a puppy based on that information and she just could not have been more right. Our pup is so goofy and sweet and loving and just the epitome of all things dachshund. She is everything we dreamed of and more. It has been exactly one year now since we first picked our pup up, and Amanda is always available if you have questions and I love sharing updates and pictures of the goofy things our pups get up to, and I've been able to enjoy updates of what my pup's other relatives are up to, as well. I spent weeks researching breeders to find one that bred with ethics and integrity and it was so shocking to find that so few of the breeders out there do even the basic health testing. But Amanda does all of that and will provide it openly and candidly. Amanda is two states away from me, and I will happily travel that far again in the future because we can't imagine our life without one of her dogs. Amanda knows her dogs in and out. Her ability to get to know you so she can pair you with a dog that is right for you (and also make sure that you are right for the dog) is incredible. The puppy she paired us with is absolutely perfect for our family in every way. I can't put into words how much we love this dog and how I am so glad to have Amanda in my life!

We could not be more thankful for having found Amanda with Blueprint K9 Dachshunds! When Fletcher joined our family, everything just felt complete! We already had an older dachshund and wanted a second as a friend to her. Fletcher was the perfect addition. Bella and Fletcher now have each other. Fletcher is extremely smart, I get constant comments on his shape, shiny coat, color, and his temperament. Loving as can be, soooo cuddly and just the goodest boy ever. Amanda is very responsive to any question you ever have, even after adoption, years after too! She has even answered questions about my non blueprint dachshund! I HIGHLY recommend Blueprint K9!!
