I am writing this review strictly based on my experience and the timeline of communication. I worked with this breeder for nearly three months to adopt a dog named Satin. Satin stayed with my family from November 24–26 as a trial period to confirm compatibility. During that stay, we were told she needed to be returned so she could complete a required heart monitor test. She was returned as requested and we waited in good faith. After some time, I reached out to see what the delay was and was told the remaining delay was due to the heart monitor test and a cardiologist report mix-up. I believed this was the only remaining barrier to final adoption. I also clearly communicated that I would be leaving town for a couple of weeks and was dealing with family and work scheduling changes. My intention had been to take Satin again for a longer stay before the holidays, but due to the medical delays, travel arrangements, and unclear timelines, that was no longer possible. I never withdrew my interest. On December 26, the breeder texted me and said she needed kennel space for an incoming dog and wanted a pickup date from me. Nothing had changed in my previous explanation that I could not yet give an exact date due to travel and work schedules — not because I was no longer interested, but because I was trying to be honest and realistic about availability. At no point during this process was I told that another family had been waiting two months to adopt Satin. Only after Satin was placed with another family was I told that another family had supposedly been waiting that entire time. That timeline does not make sense to me, since Satin had stayed with us in late November and I was never informed there was any competing adoption interest. From my perspective, the communication was inconsistent and lacked transparency. Had I been clearly told that Satin would be placed with another family by a specific deadline, I would have made immediate arrangements. I understand breeders run businesses, but when families are emotionally invested in an adoption, clear and honest communication is essential. Unfortunately, I did not receive that here. I hope future adopters are given clearer timelines, expectations, and disclosure of competing interest so they can make informed decisions.

Don’t buy a dog from them. Their kennel leaves a lot to be desired and they sold me 2 year old that had apparently been abused. Refused to refund my money and then refused to take my calls!!! Proceed at your own risk!! Here are pictures of Apollo that you deny selling to me.

We got our first Doberman from Birkline after much research on reputable breeders near Austin Texas. Our gorgeous girl is 1.5 years old now and is healthy and has the best temperament. Samary is also always there to answer your questions. Highly recommend!

Everything about Birkline Dobermans is wonderful. From the start, you can tell Samary is exceptionally knowledgeable and cares deeply for her dogs and her puppy's eventual homes. She helped me pick out the right puppy for my lifestyle, and Lilith has been a dream since the day I picked her up. I highly recommend Birkline if you're looking for a Doberman, and I know this will be where I go if / when I add another to my life.

I have been owned by Dobermans for over 40 years and the experience with Samary at Berkline Dobermans was exemplary. They were very professional and upfront from the start answered all questions and you can tell are very dedicated to ensuring that only people who genuinely will take care and know the breed are allowed to have the privilege of owning a pup. We named our new pup Theodin And call him Theo! He is already healing on the leash can sit stay and potty trained through the dog door in three days. His big sister loves him a lot, and they are already playing together and enjoying each other's company. If you want a quality, Doberman and breeder, who genuinely cares about the And her dogs no further than they truly are a very caring Ethical breeder
