The Cary Farm

I visited the Cary Farm earlier in the month. As of now I am the proud parent of a chocolate Labradoodle named Magic. The Carys are very much into their pups. They are sweet and wonderful people and our dog is sweet and wonderful as well. The ad in the paper had run for 4 weeks before I was able to contact them. My husband wasn't sure he was ready for a dog but I was. Turns out this breeder is about 3 miles from where I live. There were only two dogs left for us to see, a male and a female. I fell in love with them immediately. I planned on getting a male so I concentrated my attention on that one. My husband believes that he has to look into a dog's eyes to see his soul so he spent 30 mins engaging the puppy. In the end we went home with the male chocolate puppy. He was of course shy and withdrawn at first but now at four weeks he is well settled. He loves my husband and sleeps in bed with us. His toys are strewn all around the living room. He came to us basically house broken but we still leave out puppy pads for him and he does use the during the night. They must have become soul mates at that first encounter because Magic loves my husband, he cries when Hank goes out to get the mail or goes to the bathroom and exuberantly greets him on his return. I named him Magic because of the magic he has brought into our lives. I am extremely happy with my adopted puppy. Carol Cantor Hawaii
