Bichons of the West

We have recently brought home a Bichon from Bichons of the West. I have never had an opportunity to purchase a pure bread puppy and Gretchen was always available for questions responding the same day. We received weekly pupdates that helped us prepare for him. A wonderful bag of items to get us started came home with us too. Our first vet appointment was perfect. He was happy and healthy. Otis has been a wonderful addition to our family. Having been a dog groomer for the last 17 years, I’ve been very picky about who I trust when it comes to getting a puppy. After months of research I reached out to Bichons of the West and Gretchen exceeded my expectations when it came to answering my questions about their breeding program, health guarantee and care for their puppies. I put my initial deposit down in December and my puppy was born in January. As soon as they were able we started receiving Sunday Pupdates. The photos and videos of the puppies were such a fun way to watch them grow and develop their personalities. Chowder is such a character and wins everyone over as soon as he meets them. His coat is exactly what I was hoping for and his temperament is even better. I’m beyond impressed with this family and their commitment to healthy and happy puppies. After our Bichon of 16 years (my VA service pup) passed away now nearly seven months ago we had no intention of getting another dog - simply too painful a loss. However, as time passed it became clear we/I wanted and needed a Bichon again in our lives. Enter Bichons of the West. Jasper is now 14 weeks old and a delight! Our interactions with Bichons West were kind, patient, detailed, and wholly enjoyable from Day One. As a disabled veteran it was wonderful having this little fellow, with a personality in his own right, come into my life. Gretchen and Miles were wonderful to work with in adding *two* sweet sister puppies to our family. They have grown into smart, loveable, beautiful dogs full of all the personality and spunk that Bichons are known for. This is due, in no small part, to how well they are cared for in the first 8 weeks by Gretchen and her family!! We loved all the picture and videos updates we got when they were growing puppies and really appreciated the "puppy packs" of supplies Gretchen supplied us with when we picked them up. A dream team to work with when getting a new puppy. We truly can't imagine life without our girls! Thank you for giving us our furry four-legged family members!

I can't tell you enough how much we love our Rocco. He is a little bundle of fluffy joy! Gretchen is careful to meet the prospective owners to make sure these puppies are going to a good home and will be well taken care of. She sent a baby Bichon care package home with us, which was so appreciated. We had no idea how much personality our puppy would have. He has a few little quirks that are fun. Rocco provides us with much love and so many laughs. Our granddaughter wants to mother him as her "baby". Rocco is patient and tolerant of this mothering. Our groomer has said he has a sweet disposition, which she said not all Bichons have. He has champion lines, so that shows in his temperament. It also shows in his nice coat, which the groomer has commented on as well. You cannot go wrong in buying your Bichon from Bichons of the West (Gretchen). I promise it will be love at first sight!
