Hunters Rest Kennels

I feel a need to not only write a response to the 1 star review by Joy, but also to sing the praises of Nancy as a breeder. We did a lot or research about breeders and talked with our vet and clients who have Boykins and the name that kept coming up was Nancy Boykin. We called her in December and explained that we were fostering a friends Boykin whilst he dealt with personal issues and we fell in love with the breed. Full disclosure I had already researched Hunters Rest in October when we picked our friends puppy up. Before we reached her we had tried to contact other breeders some who answered the phone, others who just tried to tell us what we wanted to hear. Taking to Nancy my husband said thank you for being honest (we wanted a curly coated Boykin), and she said I cannot guarantee that, but what she did do was pick the most perfect puppy for us based on what we told her our lives entailed. We picked our puppy up on March 17, which I assume is the same litter as Joy. All the puppies were extremely healthy, and we were given papers and health records and she explained everything. We have a female, and our vet cannot get over how "perfect" she is. Not one issue joint wise, skin, nothing. We feed Open Farm puppy food, and are very careful to not let her jump off things so her joints do not get injured. Not only would I recommend her over and over, but we are also going to purchase another one from her when our english lab moves over the rainbow bridge.

Honestly the BEST place to get a Boykin! Nancy is Truly an honor! And, the Sweetest!

Nancy Boykin is a great person and responsible breeder of Boykin Spaniels. Great bloodlines.

Nancy Boykin is an absolutely top notch ethical breeder, We could not be more pleased with our dogs.
