The Shih Tzu Nursery

We've adopted two beautiful little girls from The Shih Tzu Nursery and they are spectacular! I'm absolutely convinced that the love, care, and attention that is given to the pups by The Nursery is one of the biggest reasons that our girls have grown into healthy, happy adults. The pups receive the best medical care, food, and exercise/play from the time that they're born, and that level of attention is so instrumental in the way that they mature and grow after adoption. I wish we could adopt more--they are a blessing in our lives.

I had the most incredible experience with The Shih Tzu Nurse. Veronica is truly dedicated breeder. Her focus is ensuring the health of her fur babies. She is extremely thorough and detailed with the puppy’s care once you pick up to take them. A care package is given with several essentials you need to keep your puppy happy and healthy. She also continues to offer support long after pick up. You can tell she is deeply passionate about what she does and mostly importantly the love and care she puts into adults dogs and puppies. Should I consider in growing our family, I would absolutely look to The Shih Nurse again.

5 stars++. We have had 2 previous Shih Tzu babies. We were ready for our 3rd. Our current breeder did not have a litter so I started researching Shih Tzu breeders in Southern California and I’m so happy I did. I found The Shih Tzu Nursery and Veronica. As a breeder Veronica goes above and beyond with her care of her dogs and litters from nutrition to healthcare, socializing and nurturing. You just have to read through her web and instagram page to see her dedication to this breed. The posts on instagram are a testament to her care and the many instagram pages of pups from her precious litters are an amazing reference. I also greatly appreciate her cautious and protective nature when meeting her pups. We now have Winston in our lives and we are IN LOVE. He was raised so well by Veronica with no fear. From grooming to play he is so well socialized especially compared to our past breeder. He is healthy and friendly and loving. Can’t forget to mention how beautiful his coat is, such a handsome fella. We got to meet all his brothers and sisters and his Mom. All were beautiful and just the sweetest and happiest pups. I’m so happy we found Veronica she’s been amazing to work with and we are eternally grateful for our new baby boy.

From start to finish and beyond Veronica was extremely helpful in the process of adding our precious Ume to our family. I know that she puts her all into the care of her puppies and dogs. I reached out to Veronica in 2024 hoping to get a puppy in the future and it truly has been the best decision. Ume is such a well rounded puppy. She is tiny but incredibly confident, affectionate, cuddly, playful and very happy. I attribute a lot of her beautiful nature to being raised in The Shih Tzu nursery.

I am incredibly fortunate to have found my dream pup from the Shih Tzu Nursery. I’d been in the market for a Shih Tzu for quite some time and was very impressed with how much time and care Veronica put into developing and nurturing the puppies in such an amazing environment. If you follow their instagram stories you’ll see how much care they put into their early developmental stages. When I brought Euclid home at 4 months old he was such a perfect angel. Only took him a couple weeks to transition from pee pads to being fully potty trained outside. After just a handful of potty accidents they completely stopped after 6 weeks once we built a consistent routine. When I first took him to the groomers at 5 months old they were astounded at how well behaved he was for being so young. As a personal trainer I service all my sessions at my private in home studio and he just hangs out with me all day and is so well behaved and not disruptive at all. He barely barks , mostly to initiate play and sometimes at the squirrels or if a toy rolls under the couch, but other than that he is just so well behaved all the time. Never tried to chew my shoes or everything in sight which was a relief as I’ve experienced with other pups in my past. He is super playful and just too cute to be true and surprisingly just so mild mannered most of the time. I love that he can keep himself entertained when I can’t play with him in the moment. I’ve had dogs in the past but he is truly the most bestest boy I’ve ever known and I wish I could take credit for it but honestly i know his temperament is because of the environment he came from at the Shih Tzu nursery. I only worked with a dog trainer two times the first month I had him and never had to again as he was so easy to leash train and never developed any of the potential behavioral issues the trainer said he was going to develop when he became a teenager. He is now 9 months and continues to become more well behaved and chilled out as he continues to age. He is an absolute blessing and the best thing that’s ever happened to me! I don’t know what I would do without him!
