We love Baggy Bassets! We purchased two male puppies back in 2022 and we absolutely fell in love with bassets. Baggy Bassets was excellent at responding to questions and working with our schedule. I appreciated how well they care for their dogs and puppies. When the boys’ mom was retired, we then adopted her too! But we didn’t stop there, we the adopted another retired mom and yet another one! All of the puppies and retired mom dogs we have purchased have been healthy, extremely sweet, and even trained in the basics. If you are considering getting a basset, you will love Baggy Bassets!

I cannot say enough great things about Baggy Bassets! Stephanie is truly a phenomenal breeder who goes above and beyond for her dogs and for the families who welcome them home. Her commitment to producing high-quality, healthy puppies is so clear in everything she does. What really sets her apart is her dedication to ethical breeding and education. She doesn’t just breed—she teaches. She takes the time to raise awareness about genetic testing, why it matters, and how it impacts the long-term health and well-being of the breed. That level of transparency and responsibility is rare and incredibly appreciated. Stephanie also specializes in beautiful blue basset hounds, which are hard to come by and highly sought after. The quality, care, and intention behind her program truly shine through in every puppy. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares, prioritizes health and temperament, and is passionate about improving the breed while helping others learn along the way, Baggy Bassets is truly exceptional

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience working with Stephanie at Baggy Bassets! From the beginning even before the pups were born, she was so communicative and helpful in answering questions I had and working with me in ensuring she knew what sort of puppy would be best for us. Once the puppies arrived, we loved Stephanie’s regular updates and excellent communication! Our puppy arrived healthy, happy, and truly a great fit for our family. Would recommend Baggy Bassets to anyone! If we decide to get another basset in the future, we will definitely work with Stephanie again.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE SAME LADY & BREEDER. DONT LET HER FOOL YOU. We both drove 2 hours to meet for a bulldog she said she bred (before she switched to breeding basset hounds she told us during the meeting), sold to somone who returned the dog to her. So she posted the dog, met us & brought a big bulldog in a crate he couldn't stand up in.. she doesn't bring a leash & thank God we had a small one. Got him on a leash & he was covered in dirt & was obviously dirty for a long time.. I asked becuz he is merle if he had any health issues.. if he was deaf or if he was sick.. she said absolutely not he is 100% healthy.. he was being walked in a near by place by my husband.. he was excited to be out so we thought nothing of it.. she helped me spend 200 $ more to transfer his akc papers as we wanted it done before we walked away to insure no problems after.. I explained that to her & she agreed & was helpful.. got him to my dad's home in the town we met her at.. he has small dogs.. we were giving him a bath as he was nasty & the smell he had was horrible.. I got him cleaned & realized he doesn't respond to any kind of noise at all.. HE IS DEAF. I texted her immediately she said she didn't know.. she had the dog returned for 5 weeks she said.. we figured it out in 2 hours.. she said she wasn't giving me a full refund & no til his papers came in if she even would.. I told her I'm not equipped to take care of a deaf dog.. she said they need no special training or care.. I told her my husband would drive him back to showlow without me as my heart issues wouldn't allow me to get to that high of altitude.. she said if he did she would only give me 400 back when his papers came in to us... I told her I was filing reports in the city she sold him to us in & showlow where she came from.. I then watched him itch his ears & rub his head on things.. thought maybe he just had alot of gunk in there.. & found 14 ticks we pulled out & killed.. I texted her about the ticks & got no reply.. reports have been made & this lady should be stopped from breeding.. she's a back yard breeder.. she didn't care about what happened to this dog.. she sold him to us knowing he was deaf & ticks & filthy. Reports have been made. I am sharing her across all platforms so she can't do this to anyone else.. 800$ down she says isn't alot of money & we were sold a deaf & infested dog .. that she knew were taking around our family dogs & our own.. now everyone has to be treated for ticks as prevention & 2 yards sprayed to prevent an infestation.. plus the dog has cuts on his face & puncture on his head.. this woman didn't care about him at all. Please please don't buy from her unless your ready for a bunch of stress & secrets..

We got our Dixie Rose, aka Gamora, from Baggy Bassets. Stephanie is great to work with. I put down a deposit and waited for my baby to be born. Very easy. Dixie is 2 now and very sweet and sociable. Get your basset from Baggy Bassets.
