Arkansas Exotics

The owner John introduced us to some of the hedgehogs he raises when we dropped in unexpectedly at his business. He took the time to explain at length the in and outs of owning a hedgehog as a personal pet in addition to answering all of our questions. Be aware that this is not a business with a storefront as depicted by Google online with what appears to be a stock image. He encourages calling ahead due to this being his personal property and to ensure he is available to step away from the care of his animals. Despite this, he welcomed us and took time away to talk to us at length.

John is an amazing person, we went to look for a hedgehog for my son (5). John was patient with us. My son was scared and he actually recommended we not get one at the moment till get got a little older to better care for one. I thought it was awesome, it shows that he genuinely cares about the critters he raises. He offered for us to come by from time to time and let him handle more of them more often to see if my son could get more comfortable and confident.

We brought this girl home about a month ago and she’s been an absolute joy to have. Our buying experience was easy and he was very informative. I’d highly recommend this breeder if you’re looking for an exotic pet such as a hedgehog.

They hedgehog I aquired here was wonderful and even achieved flight out of the few days of me teaching it via throwing it out a window would recommend and would throw out window again

Just got our little guy. He helped us find the one that matched us and explained a lot on how to properly care for them. I did miss the part that said call and appointment only, but he was super cool about it . Dont buy everything first like I did, he ll explain all you need and everything. Super knowledgeable and great guy.
