Kolenda Kennels

To say we are thrilled with our new little girl is an understatement! Kolenda Kennels was wonderful to work with from start to finish. Susan answered all of our questions, sent regular photos, and walked us through the entire process while we eagerly waited for our puppy. The facility is clean, well maintained, and such a great setup. We loved getting to meet our girl's parents and see all of the other beautiful dogs they have. Our girl is incredibly smart, confident, and absolutely beautiful. Everywhere we go, people comment on both her looks and her amazing personality. Even her puppy trainers have been so impressed—they consider her advanced for her age without any prior classes! Thank you, Kolenda Kennels, for giving us such a wonderful addition to our family. We couldn't be happier with our beautiful girl!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Kolenda Kennels exceeded every expectation!** We brought home our 8-week-old German Shepherd puppy and couldn’t be happier. She is sweet, healthy, and clearly comes from excellent breeding. We were able to meet both the mother and father dogs before selecting our puppy, which gave us even more confidence in the temperament and quality of their lines. She came with all age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, was microchipped, and we received **full AKC rights**—not the limited version most breeders provide. This truly sets Kolenda Kennels apart. Susie and John made the entire process incredibly easy. They were even able to schedule a **same-day appointment**, which made everything so much more convenient for our family. Their vast knowledge of the breed and their expert guidance helped us feel confident and prepared for the first few weeks with our new family member. We also appreciated the **warranty against crippling hip dysplasia**, which shows how much trust they have in their dogs’ health and genetics. It’s obvious they genuinely care about their dogs and the families they go to. We are so grateful for our wonderful puppy and highly recommend Kolenda Kennels to anyone looking for a top-quality German Shepherd.******Four months later, I wanted to come back and update our experience. Freya is doing absolutely amazing—her training has come along beautifully, and she continues to be in excellent health. She has truly become such a wonderful part of our family. Because of how positive our experience has been, we recently decided to add another puppy from Kolenda Kennels. We brought home Finn, and he has settled into our home so seamlessly. He already shows all the signs of being a stunning addition to our family, both in temperament and presence. We did have a scheduling conflict due to a planned trip and needed to delay picking Finn up, and Susan could not have been more accommodating. She was incredibly understanding and flexible, which made the whole process stress-free for us. We are beyond happy with both of our dogs and so grateful for the care, quality, and support we’ve received. Highly recommend!

As a retired Coast Guardsman with 25 years of experience training and working with Search & Rescue and therapy dogs, I sought a meaningful way to contribute to our community upon retirement. A therapy dog partnership felt like the perfect fit for this next chapter, a new puppy. We had ambitious goals: we wanted a female pup capable of qualifying for both therapy work and Schutzhund. Following the advice of our veterinarian, we spent weeks researching the top GSD breeders across the United States and Canada. Once again our search led us to Kolenda Kennels for our second pup "INDY". Kolenda Kennels is a world-class breeder that specializes in imported West German Sieger lines. Kolenda's dogs offered exactly what we were looking for: striking red-and-black coats, excellent health lineages, and outstanding temperaments. Once again, from our first interaction, Susan Kolenda was straightforward, honest, and professional. She guided us through the pedigrees, and we chose a pup from the mating of YUKON VON MARBO WOLF AND RAINE V. Susan Kolenda uses the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test to perfectly match us with a female puppy that fit our specific lifestyle and training goals. Living on the New Jersey shore, we were thrilled that Kolenda Kennels offers safe, reliable transport from their Michigan location. For a very reasonable fee, they arranged for our eight-week-old puppy to be transported by a dedicated transport service to our home. We highly recommend Kolenda Kennels to anyone seeking a premier German Shepherd. Susan’s expertise, patience, and compassion made the entire process seamless. Knowing you have a dog backed by the exceptional standards of the Kolenda bloodline brings absolute peace of mind.

What a great experience! Susan showed patience and answered all of my questions. Just picked Axel up yesterday. Was able to see his parents. Facility was clean and the dogs were cared for. 5 stars isn’t nearly enough! Just a quick update. We just came back from the vet and they were so impressed with our pup. Said he is Beautiful and in great shape! He wanted to know the breeder and said they obviously are German shepherd people and know what they are doing. The whole staff was raving about our pup! Thanks again susan!!!

We adopted our boy in January (he was born Dec 2nd). He has been an amazing addition to our family - extremely intelligent, gentle, and loyal. He was potty trained within less than 72 hours of being home and has shown exceptional aptitude at picking up all sorts of commands. He is an absolute joy in our lives and continues to surprise us in different ways, all while making our family feel whole. I cannot recommend Kolenda Kennels enough! 💗
