We got our first non-Molosser breed dog from Jen. This is our 7th dog so we are no strangers to pet ownership. Even though this is our first non-protection type dog, I would highly recommend. She is 50/50 golden and poodle. She is 8 mo old and very smart, well behaved, has zero separation anxiety, sleeps all night without a peep, crate trained easily (but is already trustworthy to keep out and use the doggy door), and really loves everything and everybody she meets - this dog would literally be a willing participant in her own kidnapping! Another positive is she is extremely intuitive when playing with other dogs. She quickly picks up on what the other dog is putting down and acts accordingly. Really the only downsides are haircuts/nightly brushings which are expected, and not being great in the car. She will jump in but she aint happy about it. On long trips, she will pant, drool and shake. When she was younger at least one puke per ride was a guarantee. It took quite a bit of work to get her to the point where a car ride is do-able. She does fine on quick trips for walks etc but we dont take her for rides just for fun like we used to with our previous dogs. She would rather stay home. Again - highly recommend if you are looking for a sweet, smart, well behaved animal. If you wont travel much with your pet by car, 5 stars for sure. If you do want to travel a bunch, might want to chat with Jen beforehand to try and see if some of her breedings are better than others when it comes to motion sickness.
